This open mic is free for both performers and audience members.
Bring all your friends:
Fun free evening:
musicians, comedians, poets, dancers, jugglers and singers.

Shows are on Saturdays: July 16, August 20, 2016, and January 21, March 18 and May 20, 2017, starts at 7:30 pm.

6:30-7 pm check-in time for my current and past workshop students with house MC Yave Guzman.
Each act will check-in separately with Yave who runs the show.
At that time, hand him your written introduction.
He may or may not use this to introduce you.
MC’s choice.
Plan is that he will shuffle the set order to include at least 11 other variety acts.

After you perform, ask Yave if you can do more time after the Intermission.

Performers must arrive between 6:30-7 pm
to try out the house sound system and walk around on the elevated theatre stage
as it will feel different than in either the classroom or club stages which are ground level
and/or smaller vs. this average community theatre stage which is about W: 30’ D: 20’.

Stage time:
This time comedy acts do 5 minutes.

House rules:
PG-13 as they sometimes have kids in the house.

There is a parking lot behind the theatre on Commercial street.
Depending on other events held downtown that night, there may or may not be street parking on North Cloverdale Blvd.
Yave recommends the parking lot.

My past and present comedy workshop students planning to attend and perform 5-minutes each:
Ray Langevin, Booneville
Frank Male, Monte Rio
Amy Lichty, Petaluma
Edgar Abadines, Petaluma
Kevin Feenan, Windsor

Yes: my past and present students can still enter the 2017 CMCs. You will perform in the very nice new 90 seat theatre at Cloverdale Performing Arts Center.
As you can see, it is a full W: 30’x D: 20' theatre stage
where their theatre company puts on plays:

Two hour show with an intermission.
So, you could go up twice if you have more material and the MC is short of acts that night: ask during intermission.
But you may not repeat material you already did in your first appearance that night.

I will video all your performances at these off-campus Open Mics.
To get free copies of your one to three performances on July 16 and/or August 20, 2016 and/or January 21, 2017, please bring your own USB Flash drive
to this open mic or one of my Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday night comedy class in Rohnert Park.
Video files can be dragged from my laptop onto your Flash drive in about 5-10 minutes so please do this before class starts at 7 pm or after class ends at around 10 pm.
This is what Flash drives look like:
Please put your name on your Flash drive, then hand it to me to make your copies
